Chargers Unable to Close Out Kalamazoo Valley

Kalamazoo Valley rallied in the second half to defeat the Carl Sandburg College men’s basketball team 81-78 on Friday night in the Spartan Classic.
The Cougars (7-1) came back after the Chargers (10-2) had taken a 41-32 lead into halftime.
Sandburg led 78-77 in the final 15 seconds before a turnover led to two Kalamazoo Valley free throws for the go-ahead points.
The Chargers’ second game in the Spartan Classic, scheduled for noon Saturday against Truman, was canceled when Truman had issues getting transportation to the game.
